I-O Psychology at USF

The USF I-O Psychology program is a rigorous training experience intended to provide students with outstanding research skills and expertise in quantitative methods. Through a combination of research, coursework and applied experiences, the program prepares students for university faculty positions as well as research-oriented positions in government and industry. The USF I-O program was ranked 4th by US News and World Report in the latest 2013 ratings and the I-O faculty were ranked 1st in terms of research productivity based on publications in the top 10 I-O psychology journals (Beiler et al., 2014).

The I-O program consists of 8 full-time faculty, 2 active emeritus faculty, and over 30 doctoral students. Students take coursework throughout the department and are encouraged to take coursework in other departments as well. Internships are optional, and are available both locally and nationally. Teaching experience is also available and is highly recommended. Most first year students are supported on a departmental graduate teaching/research assistantship. Advanced students are supported through a variety of on-campus and off-campus placements that are designed to best meet the student's career objectives. The program is a full-time residential program; part-time students are not accepted.
